May the gorse be with you…in Cornwall.

Just back from a quick trip to Cornwall for a private commission.  Breathtaking scenery; there was no getting away from the gorse, the slate and the sea.  Found some fantastic bays and buildings,  Mawgan Porth and having a cup of tea at the amazing Scarlet hotel are foremost in my mind.

The light at St Ives was dreamlike.  I took the branch line from Lelant Saltings to get there and the sun was so bright that the miles of sand around the headland looked like a desert island, albeit a big one with well-fed gulls.
